TDP Senior Leader JC Prabhakar Reddy is all set to take a tour of all constituencies in the erstwhile Anantapur district in a bid to strengthen the party.
He already got a nod from TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu and is getting a caravan (Luxury bus) ready for the tour. The tour is likely to begin once the temperatures come down.
JC Prabhakar Reddy’s group suffered a bitter defeat in 2019. Even the heirs of the JC family lost. JC is shattered after losing its grip on the district.
JC, however, made a stunning comeback by winning Tadipatri Municipal Elections against all odds and the might of the ruling party. Since then, he has earned the confidence of Chandrababu Naidu.
It is to be noted that leaders of TDP who are in the party since its inception are not moving. But JC who joined the party only after 2014 is striving hard for the party.
Anantapur is the stronghold of the Telugu Desam Party since its inception. But then, the results of 2019 shocked the party.
Except for Balakrishna’s Hindupur, TDP lost in all the remaining thirteen constituencies in the erstwhile Anantapur district.
According to party sources, recent surveys say TDP has a chance of winning ten seats if elections are held now.
