Andhra Pradesh High Court has heard to a contempt of the court petition filed about the non-implementation of the judgment about Amaravati.

A few farmers who have given their lands for the capital have approached the court saying that the government is wilfully not implementing the court judgment.

Lawyer Unnam Muralidhar has argued on the behalf of the farmers.

They have informed that the Government is making no attempts to pool in funds for the capital works. So that that can be used as a reason for the non-implementation.

After hearing the arguments, the court ordered the state government to submit a status report of various works of Amaravati.

The next hearing of the case has been posted to June 12th.
