Its been ten years since the cases got registered on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The trial in these cases did not start yet. The accused are trying to delay them by filing discharge petitions, squash petitions, and adjournment petitions.
CM Jagan did not attend a single hearing ever since he became the Chief Minister.
From the last few months, there are reports that the trial will finally begin. Now, the CBI judge hearing these cases in Nampally Special Court has been changed.
The new judge will have to study and hear the cases from the start which means more delays in starting the trial. This will be a big help to Jagan.
TDP is suspecting that BJP-led Central government has helped Jagan once again in these cases.
YSR Congress will want these cases to prolong until after the 2024 elections so that these cases will not cause any trouble before the elections.
Supreme Court recently gave judgment to conclude serious cases on Public representatives as soon as possible. It has to be seen if the apex court will interfere in these cases as well.
