Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn found himself at the receiving end of social media anger after stating that Hindi was, is, and will always be our national language- during a conversation with Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep on Twitter.  Ajay Devgn was  also trolled as the internet fact-checked his statement soon after – there is no national language for India. Hindi is India’s most used language and is part of the 22 languages listed in the Indian Constitution’s eighth schedule.

Ajay Devgn who has never typed a full tweet in Hindi since past one year or so and chose to reply in Hindi for a Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep. It was a befitting reply from Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep saying what would the situation be if he had replied in Kannada.

Why are the Bollywood actors talking about the importance of language, industries and regions just before the release of their movies?

In the month of March before the release of  Attack, John Abraham also said, “I am a Hindi film hero, I will never play the second lead in a regional movie.

Now before the release of Runway 34 , Ajay Devgn is promoting Hindi by saying, “If Hindi is not our national language why do you release your mother tongue movies by dubbing them in Hindi.”
